Artist's Description

Surfer paddled into this wave at Jaws, Maui, on 1-4-2012. This photorealistic-impressionistic rendering is based on ONE frame from a video. The Billabong XXL judged this to be the biggest wave paddled into that year, probably 40 to 50 feet high. The surfer is Dave Wassel.
